Alarm it
Why not think about installing a window alarm. There are several on the market all of which are relatively discreet. Most are triggered by movement so when the window is tampered with or smashed, the alarm is likely to go off. Some have a built in infra-red sensor which detects movement in and around the window before the window is tampered with. This sets of a alarm which is then picked up the alarm company.
Window locks
Finally, never underestimate the power of the good old fashioned lock. Window locks have been on the market for years and are still one of the best pieces of burglar deterrent at you can buy. What’s more they’re relatively cheap too. Deadbolts, sash window locks, and vinyl window locks are all designed to keep unwanted guests out and can easily be fitted to pretty much any window.
