Today, Launceston Airport hosted one of its largest emergency exercises to date — a full-scale, multi-agency simulation designed to rigorously test and enhance emergency preparedness across the aviation sector.
Datum Services, the specialist consulting division of MA Services Group, was proud to lead the planning and facilitation of this significant event. The exercise brought together a wide range of emergency and support services in a highly coordinated effort, including Tasmania Police, Ambulance Tasmania, Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting Services (ARFFS), and many other key stakeholders.
The scenario was carefully designed to simulate a complex emergency situation, enabling participants to practice their response protocols, improve coordination, and assess readiness under realistic conditions.
We’re especially proud of our MA Services Group personnel who provided on-the-ground support throughout the day, playing a key role in ensuring the event was delivered smoothly and effectively.
We extend our sincere thanks to Launceston Airport for the opportunity to lead such a critical initiative and to all participating agencies for their professionalism and unwavering commitment to community safety and resilience.
This exercise stands as a testament to what can be achieved through strong collaboration, strategic planning, and shared responsibility.
