SUPPORTING DIVERSITY ACROSS OUR BUSINESS

Our Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives

Equal Opportunity

Aligned with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012, we see ourselves as a leader in promoting women within our company and ensure equitable pay across all gender classifications.

We have a strong zero-tolerance approach towards discrimination. We actively support events and organisations aligned to these values, along with support programs ensuring every team member, customer and stakeholder feels welcome.

Employee Inclusion

We work with Workforce Australia to assist disadvantaged community members rebuild their lives by achieving long-term sustainable employment that fosters growth and personal achievement.

We proudly employ various staff members whose introduction to our industry was through the Workforce Australia program. We work with a range of employment service providers to promote the career paths we offer.

Cultural Awareness

We provide training to ensure our people understand how a person’s culture may influence their values, behaviours, beliefs and basic assumptions, along with developing strategies for bridging cultural gaps. Training encourages staff to recognise cultural characteristics and issues without forgetting it is always important to identify individual needs and preferences and remember that no individual can be reduced to a set of cultural norms.

Memberships

We hold memberships for Supply Nation. We are invested in pursuing the opportunities these memberships offer us, leveraging them to increase our awareness and operational capabilities. Our membership with Supply Nation is a proactive step towards the implementation of our company’s Indigenous Participation Plan fosters our efforts to enable people with disability the opportunity to succeed in our organisation.

Indigenous-Inspired Uniform

Designed by our Indigenous artist Lani and comes from a place of respect and admiration for the Australian Indigenous community at large. Our motivation to protect all members of the community is paramount and we strive to reflect and embrace all elements of community diversity through all areas of service.

Our Indigenous-inspired uniform reflects this ambition – to take small steps along the path to reconciliation, respect and being responsible to shape a positive future for all.

Pride-Inspired Uniform

This uniform enhances our celebration of diversity. We have commissioned our Pride-inspired uniform tops which our staff proudly wear on appropriate occasions. We have been providing services to the annual Melbourne Pride March for many years and have a strong connection to all members of the LGBTQI community who gather to celebrate their identities.

With pride and appreciation, we have created a symbolic gesture of support for all members of the Australian community.
