Diversity encompasses acceptance and respect. It is an understanding that each individual is unique, and is recognised for their individuality. These differences can include ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, physical abilities, family status, religious beliefs, perspective, experience or other ideologies.

Our commitment to diversity is not only the right thing to do, it makes good business sense. Recruitment and career development processes and decisions are transparent so  that our people reflect and provide  alignment with our clients.

Our expertise tells us that the most engaged employees are those working in open, fair and diverse environments. We are committed to creating and maintaining an inclusive and collaborative workplace culture that provides sustainability for our future.

How we Foster Diversity.

We have implemented initiatives designed to identify, support and develop talented employees from a diverse range of backgrounds.

Embracing diversity and being inclusive means MASG does not tolerate unlawful discrimination, bullying, harassment or victimisation.

MASG has a commitment to achieving gender equity and we are constantly striving to increase our ratio of female employees to male.

Each year our executive management team reviews and sets objectives towards supporting diversity in all aspects relevant to our business.

MASG has always fostered an opportunity to help those in our community. We are participants in the Federal Government sponsored Nabenet Integrated Workplace Health Services program promoting previously injured workers re-entering the workforce. Suitable candidates are encouraged to transition back into the workforce performing no more than 20 scheduled hours a week until deemed capable of completing a full weeks work schedule.

We employ 10 persons (1.8%) who identify as Aborigine or Torres Strait Islander in our Victorian workforce and in addition, have an affirmative action policy of hiring suitable security guards from an indigenous background wherever possible.

Our Indigenous/Disadvantaged Backgrounds Recruitment Plan is aimed at providing apprenticeships for apprentices from indigenous backgrounds or disadvantaged backgrounds. Our goal is to commit to a 2% Indigenous background workforce target within the next financial year.

This is supported by the  strategic partnership with Indigenous Prospects which is a 100% Indigenous owned and run training & recruitment agency.

MA Services Group’s commitment to recognising the importance of diversity extends to all areas of our business including recruitment, talent development, skills enhancement, appointment to roles, board appointments, retention of employees, programs,  flexible work arrangements, forms of leave available to employees and  succession planning.
