An A1 Grading is the highest certified level for a Monitoring Centre. This not only qualifies MASG Security Services to monitor systems for clientele with high-level security requirements such as government, banks and embassies but also to provide high-quality service to private residences and businesses.
MA Services Group operate an A1 Graded Monitoring Centre manned by multiple
operators 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and is in regular communication with
clients and staff in the field.
If an alarm is activated, clients have the option to be contacted directly and they
respond to the alarm or we can contact a patrol vehicle immediately and dispatch it to the location. In some instances, Police may be required and MASG is authorised with an Alpha Code to dispatch Police for genuine breaches of security at your premises. Further to this, our operators are able to monitor CCTV cameras from client sites and use this function for virtual patrolling of the site or used in conjunction with physical alarm response.
Our Monitoring Centre in Alphington, Victoria has achieved A1 Grading Certification per Australian Standard 2201.2-2004 Intruder Alarm Systems – Monitoring Centres. It is equipped with the latest technology and built to the highest structural and design standards with an uninterruptable, multi-sourced, power supply.
Alarm Monitoring is separated into different levels for example a dialler that is monitored via phone line, then there is GPRS & IP monitoring which has different polling rates. The benefits of GPRS monitoring means you can have up to 3 forms of communication between your site and our Monitoring Centre, dual SIM card as well as IP. Furthermore, you can elect different polling rates which is the pulse sent between our Monitoring Centre and client site to ensure the system is still reporting and operating as expected.
Alarm signals from your premises are sent via a GPRS Unit which is fitted with a mobile SIM card installed. These GPRS Units can be fitted with a Single SIM, Dual SIM or have IP Connectivity. With the Dual SIM, it uses two different telco providers which provide redundancy functionality in the event of a network outage. For example, in the unlikely event, the Telstra network is down, it will switch to monitoring via the Optus network or vice versa.
With GPRS monitoring, you will able to select a Polling Rate. Polling is a function that sends a test signal between your premises and the Monitoring Centre at regular intervals to ensure your alarm system is functioning correctly. Depending on the level of risk to your property, polling rates can vary from 60 seconds to 24 hours with the charge rates to vary accordingly.
GPRS monitoring is ideal for most premises as it provides fast and secure communication between your premises and our Monitoring Centre without the use of a phone line.
Integration of Alarm and CCTV monitoring details:
- This involves mapping out each site to ensure we have listed the CCTV cameras in particular alarm monitored zones.
- Once an alarm signal is received, operators will respond and view the CCTV camera footage to determine if there is movement.
- An environmentally friendly way to complete alarm response without a vehicle. Instances may occur where a vehicle needs to be dispatched but this form of response can be for low-level alarms and reduces the cost to the client.

Alarm & CCTV Monitoring – Through our A1 Graded Monitoring Centre, using Patriot Systems, we monitor a large number of commercial and residential clients throughout the country. Our A1 Graded Monitoring Centre is equipped with the latest technology and we are able to monitor all types of systems from NBN enabled, GPRS systems and IP Systems or Dialler.
Staff Welfare Checks – We currently provide this service to a number of businesses as the awareness for workplace safety grows. Currently, this is provided to security firms but we have had recent interest from cleaning and maintenance firms as there is a number of lone workers in those industries that have previously been unchecked
Duress Monitoring- – We are able to monitor on-site/fixed duress buttons or mobile duress devices. This is a service that is mainly used in commercial environments and can be implemented for personal use.
Patriot Reporting Systems – Our A1 graded monitoring centre utilises the patriot reporting system for monitoring of alarms and CCTV as well as dispatching response with follow up reports . This system is highend yet eas y to use with clients being provided with a login to complete system checks if required.
After Hours Call Centre – We are able to provide a direct line into our Monitoring Centre which is a service we provide for a number of clients currently. The benefit of this is having a central point of call for your business with our Operators forwarding on important calls or emailing through for general enquiries.
